About Morency Trading
- Status. Morency & Co. is a proprietary trading company. It trades only its own assets and does not accept customer deposits or manage customer accounts.
- Current mode. The desk is currently simulated. Live trading is not enabled unless formally approved and funded under company controls.
- Risk. Digital assets are volatile and may become illiquid, lose value or be affected by issuer, smart-contract, blockchain, stablecoin, sanctions and regulatory failures.
- Trader control. Traders cannot withdraw company assets. Their session keys are restricted to approved transactions returning assets to company-controlled Safes.
- No public service. Nothing in this section is an offer of investment, brokerage, custody, exchange, asset-management or advisory services.
- Instrument status. An instrument displayed by the Terminal or included in an allow-list may constitute a security, derivative, virtual asset, commodity interest, contractual claim or other regulated instrument in one or more jurisdictions. Availability through public-chain liquidity does not establish that its issuance, distribution, acquisition, holding, resale or redemption is lawful for every person, and does not establish that Morency & Co. has any relationship with or recourse against its issuer. Morency & Co. acquires approved third-party tokenized instruments only for its own account from secondary-market liquidity unless separately authorized in writing. Approval is conditional, may be withdrawn without notice, and is not a statement that the instrument is registered, exempt, enforceable, redeemable, backed by the referenced asset or free from transfer restrictions.
- Issuer-controlled tokens. Certain tokens permit an issuer, administrator or other third party to pause transfers, blocklist an address, freeze, seize, burn or force-transfer tokens, change redemption terms, or otherwise impair their use or value. Morency & Co. may therefore lose access to some or all of a position even if it did not contract with the issuer or make any eligibility representation. The Company will monitor designated issuer-controlled tokens and Company Safes at intervals determined by the risk desk, initially every ten minutes. If the monitor identifies that a token is paused or a Company Safe is blocklisted, the system will block new purchases of that token and alert the risk desk; sales may remain enabled where technically and legally possible, but no sale, transfer, redemption or recovery is promised. No person may use another wallet, nominee or route to circumvent the detected restriction.
